David began his teaching ministry in early 1995 and has served in the local church’s Sunday school, weekly Bible studies, couple’s ministry, men’s ministry, and Western Canada youth camp ministry in teaching and counseling ever since. He became ordained as a minister with COGOP in 2007 and was appointed to the Canada national board of directors in 2009. David now serves as the Bishop for the Western Canada region and as President of the COGOP Canada Corporation and sits on the Administrative Committee for COGOP’s Western Canada region.

In addition to his work in ministry, David has He has gained over 25 years of business experience, in the development, support, and operation of client-server information system infrastructures and over 9 years experience in researching, analyzing, and monetizing intellectual property assets. David’s passion for learning the scriptures, teaching, and helping people is simply inspired of God. His life is a miracle of the Lord simply because according to 4 doctors, he wasn’t supposed to live past three years of age. “I suffered chronic epilepsy at 10 months old and only my parent’s prayers and faith in Christ made the difference” he shares.

David and Laverne have three beautiful children, Jenniel, Warren, and Raymond (each serving the Lord) and five lovely grandchildren.

David was born in Kingston, Jamaica to David and Murice Brown on June 25th, 1967. He grew up in the Methodist Church in Montego Bay, Jamaica where he accepted Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of his life at the tender age of 10 years. David left Jamaica in March 1987 to attend Auburn University in Alabama where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics, and a Master of Science degree in Economics. David then moved to Canada in 1993 where he met and married his wife Laverne (who shares his love for the Lord) in Edmonton, Alberta. They moved to Calgary in 1994 and became members of the Church of God of Prophecy (Renewed Life Fellowship).
